Fruits and their Sugar Content

Fruit Sugar, Fruit with sugar content, , is fruit sugar bad for you, fruit high sugar

Fruits are healthy food sources which contain valuable vitamins, minerals and fiber that are beneficial to the body. However, some fruits do contain substantial fruit sugar content and should be taken in moderation. Here is a list of commonly consumed fruits and their respective sugar content.

Do take note that the Singapore Health Promotion Board’s recommendation of overall sugar intake for a healthy adult is about 35g daily

  • 1 red Apple : 19 grams of sugar
  • 1 green Apple : 11 grams of sugar
  •  X4 pcs of Lychee : 15 grams of sugar
  • 1 large seed of Durian : 18 grams of sugar
  • 1 Mango : 45 grams of sugar
  • Handful of Grapes : 9 grams of sugar
  • X6 Cherries : 10 grams of sugar
  • 1 cup of Pineapple chunks : 16 grams of sugar
  • 1 Banana : 14 grams of sugar
  • 1 Avocado : 0 grams of sugar  
  • 1 Kiwi fruit : 7 grams of sugar
  • 1 Apricot : 4 grams of sugar
  • 1 wedge of Honey dew : 10 grams of sugar
  • 1 Peach : 13 grams of sugar
  • 1 medium Pear : 17 grams of sugar
  • 1 medium wedge of Watermelon : 17 grams of sugar
  • 1 Fig : 8 grams of sugar
  • 1 Guava : 7 grams of sugar
