Negative  effects of too much caffeine

Caffeine can be beneficial if consumed moderately but too much of it can have side effects

Heavy Caffeine use results in :

  • Insomnia
  • Nervousness
  • Restlessness
  • Irritability
  • Upset Tummy
  • Muscle tremors
  • Fast Heart Beat
  • More frequent toilet trips
  • Caffeine addiction

If you rely on too much caffeine, some tips to reduce caffeine intake :

Keep Tabs

Set a specific quota and be extra mindful of the amount of caffeine consumed. Try not to be over-ruled by cravings.

Decaf

In fact,  most decaf beverages tastes the same as caffeinated counterparts.

Shorten Brew Time

Lessen the brew time when making tea so as to cut down the caffeine content in the pot.

Check your medications

Some over-the-counter pain killers have caffeine content as high as 130 mg per dose. Do take note and moderate on consuming caffeinated drinks through the rest of the day.

Take note on Sodas

Many soft drinks are caffeinated, other than just high in sugar content. 

REMEMBER, for healthy adults, the recommended caffeine intake is about 400 mg per day.
